Re: So Bilic or Moyes it is then?

It's a cliche because it gets repeated often because it's largely true.

It also depends what they look like in training, or which you have no idea.

stubbo to be fair how many this season have we been comfortable enough in to take off an experienced cb and replace him with someone like burke? and that being the case which senior player would have lost his place on the bench to a novice? i dont think we have had the luxury really mate. often clubs can blood players in lesser games. man utd have had to blood younger players this season due to injuries. its not often these days that a young player is good enough to unseat an experienced pro, all things being equal, in an important league game. and lets be fair, they are all important, especially when you are under pressure to finihs as high as poss due to the riches on offer for each place gained in the PL.

Re: So Bilic or Moyes it is then?
The argument about they haven't played a minute yet...why not? We've had chanced to give players MINUTES for experience, but have chosen instead to give O'Brien or Nolan or Jarvis appearance bonuses.

Only only guy makes those decisions.

And then when the squad gets thin and we need to rely on those young squad members what happens!? They've had no minutes.

Burke played excellently in preseason, and should have played some minutes by now.

As others have said...2 nil down at half time in a knock out comp you need to take a risk or 2. All the cunt in charge of us did is throw in the towel. But then he has form for that..the negative, un-motivating, Nolan-loving, expectation-lowering, self-serving cunt!

henry had just come back from an injury, how do you know he was not fatigued? fact is sam, right in our eyes or not, started with what he thought was his strongest senior team against wba. if he had started henry and the lad looked out of his depth you would all be on here moaning about throwing a kid in for an important cup game. people love to moan and will always find something to moan about, no matter what.

Re: So Bilic or Moyes it is then?
I'm more questioning the thinking behind the signing rather then playing him against WBA. But if he had fatigued players he could of pushed Kouyate into Midfield and rested Nolan or Song or Noble.

You cant say one thing then not implement the obvious solution based on your squad selection

Harry Redknapp anyone?

henry had just come back from injury and kouyate had just had a great game against man utd, no right minded person would have started henry.

Rodent - Isn't he 20? When do you think he will be ready then if he is just playing for the development team? You will never know if he's 'ready' until he's thrown in. That's the reality.

He isn't good enough yet or ready. Kouyate was superb against Man Utd. Why would he have thought to have dropped him for a Canadian who has not had any game team.

Would you have started him instead of Kouyate before the game? No you wouldn't!!

Henry joined in January as a future prospect and has only just come back from injury. Oxford is 16.

Not sure why people are moaning about them not getting used?

Mate, I'm all for moving forward and improving. The negativity surrounding Allardyce isn't doing the club any good. If a better Manager can replace him, playing better football who the fans can warm to and he can move us further forward as a club then great.

But take out all the fantasy football Manager talk and wish list, i.e. the Koeman, Klopp and Simeone. Take out all the people who have no Premier League experience and who would be a massive risk like Bilic or Howe. Then who is the man to come in who is better than Allardyce (not Moyes, not Bruce)? I like Benitez. Get him then I will be happy.

But it's bad for all if you put players into games like this at the highest level before they are ready for it.

Bad for the team, bad for the players bad for the result''

Christ, that old cliche! How do you know that they won't be naturals who will take to it like a duck to water? It's happened before. If they're good enough then they're old enough.

Re: So Bilic or Moyes it is then?
Well, according to your old man, Sakho wasn't ready to start any games at the start of the season, but Cole was. Worked out well, didn't it, thank Fuck for injuries.

By the way, Doneil has played international football, you pathetic apologist.

Having said that, Sam does have to bear some responsibility for the lack of depth in the squad. That shouldn't always involve buying in experience.

He does seem to value experience over youth and that right now appears to be something that's holding him back.

I can only hope he goes for it in the remainder of the season. With safety secured he really has nothing to lose.

Rodent - No, it's not. It's still 22 men chasing a bag of leather around a field.

HTH.

Only football? If it was 'only' football then we'd all be getting a game for West Ham. Top flight professional football in England is completely different from the MLS and youth football.

will you be leaving this forum when Sam (clearly your dad) leaves the club at the end of the season?

So you can't play Donnell and you can't play Oxford.

Rodent - They would only be playing football, not performing heart surgery for the first time.

Sakho? Sakho who played over 100 games for Metz and was a full international prior to joining West Ham.

So we were 2-0 down and I guess if two centre backs came on with zero experience we would have not conceded the 3rd and 4th and would won 2-3?
